Information We Collect
When you use GutSync, we collect the following types of information:
- Account information — your name and email address, collected through our authentication provider during sign-up
- Health tracking data — meals and food logs, symptoms, bowel movements, mood, sleep, physical activity, medications and supplements, and notes you choose to log
- AI assistant conversations — messages exchanged with GutSync’s AI assistant, used to parse and organize your entries
- Uploaded photos — images attached to entries, if you choose to upload them
- Usage data — basic analytics to help us maintain and improve the service
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the gut health tracking and insights service
- Generate AI-powered analysis and pattern recognition from your logged entries
- Send transactional emails such as receipts and account notifications
- Process subscription payments
- Maintain, improve, and secure the service
We do not sell your personal information or health data to third parties.
Third-Party Services
GutSync relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each processes data as described in their respective privacy policies:
- Clerk — authentication and identity management
- Convex — database and backend infrastructure
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Anthropic & OpenAI — AI processing of your entries and conversations to provide insights and automated tracking
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS and encrypted at rest. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of your data.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights & Data Control
You have the right to:
- Export your data — download all of your health data in CSV or JSON format
- Delete your account — permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time
- Request access or correction — contact us to request access to or correction of your personal data

Children’s Privacy
GutSync is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These are necessary for the service to function. We may also collect basic analytics data to understand how the service is used and to make improvements. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
